Mindfulness Walk

Christmas can be a busy time of year and we often don’t take time out for ourselves. It can also be an expensive period, with buying gifts or attending parties. Taking a short walk and focussing on your self can you de-stress and be in a happy place to celebrate Christmas with your family.

  1. Find somewhere quiet that you feel safe walking around

  2. Start walking at a normal pace

  3. As you lift your left foot, think about how it feels to lift and place your foot on the ground

  4. How about your right foot? How does it feel as you lift it off the ground and place it back on the floor?

  5. If you get distracted, don’t worry, just bring your thoughts back to walking

  6. As you feel more relaxed, take a few minutes to think about the sounds
